Ingrid van den Camp is an associate consultant at BexerHamstra. She has since 2018 worked as an interim HR manager with various organizations, after having gained seven years of experience at Hay Group, later merged with Korn Ferry. She began as an HR manager, with Smiths Foods Group and TNT, among others. Ingrid studied Business Administration at the University of Amsterdam and Fiscal Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. ‘I get energy from working with all kinds of different organizations. It brings something new every time. I like getting my mind around organizations, preferable complex organizations. It challenges me. At BexerHamstra I support and coach junior consultants, which is very rewarding. Job evaluation and organizational structure are the common themes in my career. My projects at BexerHamstra are in these fields too. Job evaluation involves mapping the positions of the organization’s managers and employees. The result is the basis for a new reward policy. I really want to deliver something that the organization can work work independently. A job family matrix, for example, in which all levels of a specific job family have been ranked properly. Then the organization can set up their own structure, and I can help it for the long term. Such work requires analytical thinking, and you have to understand organizations quickly and be very precise. That’s what I’m good at.
