Rita Ekkelenkamp is managing consultant at BexerHamstra, which she joined in November 2022. She provides advice on organizational structure, performance management and reward issues. Before this, she worked for Korn Ferry, in her last years there as associate client partner. Rita got her master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
‘My mission is to contribute to people’s happiness at work. I meet people of all levels in the organization to fathom its corporate culture and the issues it faces. This allows me to find the weak spots, and those I then want to help make stronger. There is often more going on than people realize.
Bringing people together is my forte, getting them to listen to one another and understand what is going on in their organization. It is important not to jump to conclusions but to look at new opportunities too. Only then can you really clarify matters and bring change. You go so much further if you keep challenging yourself.
It really makes me happy to work in projects, in addition to my sales and project management tasks. It’s great to work so closely with clients and go for it as a team. I also like to help junior colleagues in developing their expertise, enabling both them and the organization to grow.’
